This day became a national holiday, because the local government today – closer to the people and their concerns.
Local self-government is the basis of civil society, the expression of the initiative of people, an effective tool for solving not only regional but also national tasks. Thanks to the coordinated work of representative and executive branches of government, a close cooperation with the territorial community, it is possible not only to solve a lot of complex issues in public life, but also to implement a lot of promising plans and ideas.
On occasion, I express gratitude to all local government employees for their conscientious and dedicated work, high professionalism, competence and accountability, active civil position in the development of our country as a whole.
