Ukrainian Assembly of Doctors of Science in Public Administration, together with the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, Academy of Sciences in Public Administration, the Eastern European Development Agency and the European Institute of Further Education, acted as the co-organizer of the scientific-practical conference on international participation “CURRENT CHALLENGES OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION”, held in Kyiv on December 28, 2017. The initiator and the main organizer of the conference was the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (further – IAPM).
The purpose of the event is to deepen theoretical and methodological approaches of the work of domestic and foreign experts on the issues of implementation of public administration and the development of proposals for its improvement, in the context of globalization processes.
The conference was attended by: scientific staff, teachers of higher educational establishments, civil servants, employees of executive authorities and local self-government, young scientists.

The main thematic directions of the conference:

Theoretical and organizational-legal aspects of the modernization of public administration;

Problems of development and prospects of reforming the system of local self-government;

Provision of personnel training and leadership development in the civil service.
Fresh information on the state and trends of public administration development in Ukraine will facilitate the improvement of the qualifications of specialists in the field of public administration, providing wide opportunities for establishing systematic cooperation with organizations whose activities are public management, in order to establish business contacts with them.
In general, the work of the conference was dynamic and contributed to fruitful discussions and exchange of views. Participants and guests of the event managed to establish a series of business contacts for the exchange of experience, expansion of professional ties and business relations, deepening of participation in relevant European structures, as well as inspiration in scientific and innovative activities.
According to the results of the conference, a collection of abstracts will be published.
