On October 23-25, 2019, the Ukrainian Assembly of Doctors of Sciences in Public Administration was the co-organizer of the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “WTO Membership: Prospects for Research and the International Technology Market”, which was held in Vancouver (Canada). From the Assembly Conference attended its President Evgeniy Romanenko, Executive Director of the Presidium Irina Zhukova and associate professor of the public administration department of IAPM Alexandra Marusheva. Organized conference Regional Academy of Management (Kazakhstan). During the conference, representatives of many branches of science from around the world discussed issues of globalization of public relations and strengthening the interaction of countries among themselves, especially in the dimension of trade. Conference participants paid considerable attention to the problems of the relationship between trade and employment. It was noted that, on the one hand, trade can stimulate the creation of new jobs, and on the other hand, competition generated by imports can put pressure on manufacturers and provoke the dismissal of workers. Proposals were made for an in-depth scientific analysis of the trade regimes of the WTO member countries, which would make it possible to take into account changes and trends in economies and, which could become a strong basis for expanding the export capabilities of companies and protecting their interests in foreign markets.
