The partner of the Ukrainian Assembly of Doctors of sciences in public administration al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the face of scientists: Akhmetova L. S., Verevkin A.V., Kudabai A.A., Lifanova T.Y., Shorokhov D. P. for the first time in Kazakhstan prepared the reference book on media literacy and media education. The reference book included not only definitions, but also the short information about the scientists who made a big contribution to development of this direction in science, some words of the international and political character, terms of civil society.
Authors-originators the first in Kazakhstan began to deal more than 10 years ago with problems of media literacy and media education. Behind their shoulders for this period there are a lot of published articles including a little, indexed in SKOPUS, a number of books and brochures in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages.
In the book “Media literacy and media education. The reference book” – (Almaty: Kazakh Universiteti, 2019. – 190 pages) – are published more than 500 terms which everyone who is going to study this subject needs to know. The reference book is intended, first of all, for the younger generation and all those who are interested in questions of media literacy and media education.
The reference book is published within the grant AP05135021 “Development of National Model of the Kazakhstan Media Education in the context of Modernization of Public Consciousness and Realization of Priorities” of the “Mangilik El” project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
