Dear colleagues!

Congratulations with Medieval Spas!

Honey Savior is the first of the three Savior holidays, which are celebrated annually in August. It is celebrated on August 14 and also has the name Makoveya.

The holiday of Makovei was formed from folk traditions and church dates. On the one hand, August is outstanding in that it is a month of harvest and the generosity of Mother Nature, and it is necessary to harvest honey on the day of the Savior, because after that the bees give much worse honey. Hence the “honey” name came from.

On this day, the church also celebrates the Origin of the honest trees of the Life-giving Cross. What does it mean? According to legend, the share of the wooden cross on which Jesus was crucified saved Constantinople from an epidemic of unprecedented proportions that was transmitted through water. All reservoirs in the city were consecrated with this share and they were cleansed. This is the origin of the tradition to bless water on this day and attribute healing properties to it.

Another interpretation of the feast of Maccabees: on this day, the memory of the seven martyrs of the Maccabees is honored. However, the people perceive the name as the period when a new poppy crop is being harvested, which is also one of the main attributes of the Savior.

May this holiday encourage you to do noble work and good deeds.

Let’s share warmth and sincerity with each other, open our hearts to kindness and peace.
